Effect of a Chiropractic Adjustment

What is a Subluxation

Imagine if one of the bones in your spine wasn’t moving the way it should.  That’s what we call a subluxation. It’s not that the bone is out of place, but it’s not working as well as it should. This can make your body send mixed-up signals to your brain.

Why is this important I hear you ask?

When your spine doesn’t move properly, it can change how your brain understands what’s happening with your body. This can make you feel clumsy or even cause pain because your brain isn’t getting the right information from your spine.

How can Chiropractic help?

As a Chiropractor, I adjust these subluxations to help your spine move correctly again. Research shows that when we fix these issues, it can improve the way your brain and body communicate. This means you can move better and have less pain. By the way, cool fact about Chiropractic adjustments…Recent studies have shown that just one session of chiropractic care can make your core muscles stronger, almost like you’ve been doing three weeks of strength training! This is great news if you want to improve your athletic performance and avoid injuries.

Now do you know what proprioception is?

It’s your brain’s ability to know where your body parts are even when your eyes are closed. If a subluxation messes up this ability, you might feel clumsy. Chiropractic care can help fix this, making you less likely to trip or bump into things. By improving how your spine works, chiropractic care helps your brain control your movements better. This means you’re less likely to get hurt and can perform better in sports and daily activities.

So, chiropractic care isn’t just about fixing pain. It’s about helping your brain and body work together better.
